Who hasn’t experienced the buzz of buying fabric, having a favourite pattern in mind, but then, just as you are getting started, being consumed by uncertainty – and the sewing project is then postponed, and the beautiful fabric ends up in a drawer together with the initial enthusiasm and cool idea.

So if you are no longer familiar with the basics of sewing and lack the courage to tackle a new project then this is the course for you! Together, we’ll brush up on your sewing skills and immediately put the knowledge you’ve acquired into practice using a given sewing project. Step by step you’ll gain the confidence to start and finish your own projects.

Content

• Using a sewing machine with many different stitch types
• Understanding advanced technical terms such as folds, wrong and right sides of fabric, interfacing, selvedge facing, and much more
• Making a garment or accessory according to specifications. Starting in 2025, the Wednesday course will feature a cool gilet/vest (unisex). The weekend course will feature something else (Shorts for the summertime).
• Various finishing techniques such as collars, button plackets, sewing hems, lining, pockets, facing, finishing, and much more.
